Dementia impacts memory, thinking and behaviour and includes several types of cognitive decline, such as Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia and Lewy body dementia.

SIR JACKIE STEWART OBE

Sir Jackie Stewart is a three-time Formula 1 World Champion and one of the most influential figures in motorsport history. After his wife Helen was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, he founded Race Against Dementia to accelerate research into the disease. A long-time ambassador for Rolex, Sir Jackie brings unmatched passion and visibility to the fondation.

Xavier Oberson

Professor Xavier Oberson is a leading expert in Swiss and international tax law. He has been a professor at the University of Geneva since 1994 and is the founder and director of the LL.M. Tax program. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he is also a partner at Oberson Abels SA. Professor Oberson has served on numerous expert commissions and is a prolific author, known for his work on the taxation of artificial intelligence and robots.

Mark Stewart, the youngest son of Sir Jackie Stewart, is Chair of Trustees at Race Against Dementia. With a background in independant film production, Mark’s work has won multiple awards in both cinema and television. Mark brings strategic leadership and a personal commitment to the cause

Paul Stewart

Paul Stewart is a former racing driver and co-founder of Stewart Grand Prix with his father, Sir Jackie. He has remained closely involved in motorsport and philanthropy. As a Board Member Paul contributes his experience in leadership and his deep personal connection to the foundation’s mission.

Chris Bliss

Chris Bliss is a former partner in an international professional services firm and currently advises a broad portfolio of clients across sectors including retail, investment, professional partnerships and not-for-profit organizations. He brings extensive financial and governance expertise to the board of Fondation Race Against Dementia.
